Rick Green speaks to full house at series first session

A review by Poor Richard

“We Pledge Our Lives, Our Fortunes, and Our Sacred Honor”

There is no denying that Rick Green is a dynamic and learned speaker.  He knows his subject matter and our history.  He has become a veritable fountain of knowledge to the educated and the layman alike yet he implores us to go explore and find out for ourselves.  Our Sacred Duty as Citizens is to read, learn, and come to understand the contract that binds us with our government — a contract that We the People initiated and ultimately control.  We must then pass on what we have learned.

The first installment of New Revolution Now’s American Heritage series with Rick Green “sets the stage” for the upcoming sessions where we dive  into the Declaration and Constitution.  If you have seen the notices and thought of attending, but did not necessarily know what to expect, let me assure you this evening was well worth my time, and very pleasingly was certainly anything but a bore.  This was an exciting evening crammed full of new facts.  I am now very much looking forward to the other three sessions, and it was a great way to spend an evening.

In the 1770s, Alexis de Toqueville marveled how Americans would engage in heated conversations and lively debate over the questions of independence, freedom and liberty, and that everywhere Americans would discuss these ideas in town halls, churches, shops and taverns.  We are seeing a rebirth of that energy today.  Come be a part of it.

Session I – Our Founding Fathers and Principles

Tonight’s session began with Dean Wright of New Revolution Now emceeing, and introducing Brother Alan Daves (the Texas Mob Father) who delivered yet another stirring invocation.  I am no longer surprised by my friend’s skill at crafting a meaningful prayer to the Lord.  His efforts were well rewarded tonight as we were all blessed with a great evening.  Jim Clements led the Pledge of Allegiance and one sharp young man in the audience, not yet out of grade school, volunteered to lead our group in the Texas Pledge.  It was a great moment.

Dean then introduced our featured speaker, Rick Green (who narrowly missed sitting on the Texas Supreme Court).  During the course of the evening, Rick introduced his two sons ages 7 and 11 years.  His 7 year old son (forgive me for not remembering their names) then recited the first two paragraphs of the Declaration of Indpendence, followed by the elder son who explained the meaning of these words and how they framed the Declaration and all that followed.

More than expected — I’ve just been Rickrolled!

Rick own presentation was electric.  He is very entertaining.  He speaks at a rapid clip to cover a lot of ground, but you can easily follow and understand him.  Rick speaks in everyday English.  This in itself is quite unusual for a lawyer.  I know — “I am one.”  The presentation sizzles and his excitement quickly becomes your own as you discover just how magnificent America’s foundation truly is.  We also learned just how far we’ve strayed from the Founder’s original intent and why it is so necessary that we return to those principles.  The time flew. We absorbed much.  You will understand why the Constitution makes sense.  You will discover why your instinctive alarm bells are right and how creeping socialism has circumvented much of the founding documents’ original intent.  You will also come to discover there is a cure.

Our Founding Fathers did not just believe in the free exercise of religion within the government, they were awash in free exercise.  They believed that the Bible is Truth and Truth does not change.  Rick takes us into the minds of the Founders and shows us how the Bible was not just instrumental in their creation of our nation, but it was key.  He also touched on how the Supreme Court’s counter-intuitive doctrine of “separation of church and state” came to be and has resulted in a fraud upon the People — something we know instinctively.  So what’s wrong with it?  Stay tuned.  Rick promises we’ll get to it soon.

By returning to the Constitution, we can revive the engine of free enterprise, relight the light of knowledge that is liberty.  We can not only save our country, but return it to prosperity.  American Exceptionalism is real.  And it starts with each one of us.

An NRN Production

Thanks to Dean Wright, Jim Clements, Alan Daves, and the patriots at New Revolution Now for sponsoring this very successful event, which played tonight before a full house of 40 patriots and their families.  Thanks to Rick Green and his entire family for giving so much of themselves to aid their fellow citizens.

Next Month – The American Constitution

If you have not yet signed up for this NRN series, or if you can only aford to come to one session, I implore you to come to next month’s installment on THURSDAY, JULY 15TH where Rick dives deep into the meat of the Constitution.  Rick has promised a “Crash Course” in the Declaration and the Constitution and we will cover, the basics of each Article and every Amendment, in the short time alloted.

If you want to know what our Constitution says, if you know instinctively that your freedom is being taken away, if you want to know exactly what our three branches of government are doing wrong as well as how we can fix it, then visit www.NewRevolutionNow.org.

Go to the red sidebar and click on Our American Heritage (NEW CONTENT). There you can get all the information on NRN’s next event and the remaining series.  Reserve a seat now.  You’ll be glad you did.

See you there.

God has His Hand on Rick Green…a man called for just these times! Keeping Americans focused on the future of this Republic means understanding America’s genesis…the men and their convictions/passions/dedications and their belief in the Almighty Creator, Redeemer and Sustainer who blessed their resolve to live as “free men.” Thanks Rick for your spellbinding treatise on where we came from, why we were established and what is necessary for every generation to preserve “Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness!”
