While President Obama and Vice President Biden continue to seek credit for “ending the combat mission” in Iraq, this video praises the contributions of our troops for helping bring greater stability and security there — significant progress that was only made possible through a surge strategy most Democrats like the President and Vice President opposed. As the drawdown of troops in Iraq continues, House Republicans are grateful to all the men and women in uniform, as well as their families, for the courage and sacrifices they have made, and continue to make, to advance freedom abroad and strengthen our security here at home.

Ms. West,
There can be no credit given nor taken for removing our brave and loyal troops from this misguided war. On another note, I read an article by Jane Mayer on “Covert Operations” in the New Yorker Magazine. I was left wondering how you must feel being manipulated by those who wish this country harm? The billionaires that support the “Tea Party” movement in absentia appear to have more sinister motives than being patriotic. How can you take pride in being the “blogger of the year” when you support wealthy individuals that hide in the shadows, funding causes that are diametrically opposed to the average American.
Mr. Dale,
Thank you for your message as well as your concern for my feelings. Kindly put your mind at rest in that regard.
In addition to Ms. Mayer’s article – for which I cannot doubt she was paid – perhaps you should read this, too:

I myself am an unpaid volunteer and I consider presenting reliable information an act of goodwill toward my countrymen and women.
Though I haven’t read the New Yorker’s enlightened view, given your accusations and inferences Mr. Dale, either they clearly have a few things wrong or you are making huge leaps of faith, perhaps both. One thing’s for sure, based on some of the asinine comments left here in the last few days, whatever they wrote, it was a doozie.
I was wondering how it must feel being manipulated by a publication that obviously does not know the first thing about the “Tea Party” movement.
If the “Tea Party” is a manufactured corporate scheme, then I’ve missed out…guess my check is in the mail.
As for nefarious forces “that are diametrically opposed to the average American”, by all appearances, that sounds like an Obama-Soros consortium.
