Running for state representative against liberal Democrat incumbent Mark Strama, Patrick McGuinness is running to offer northern Travis County residents a principled, conservative choice in this election. His background as a high-tech engineer offers a unique perspective on the issues facing the Legislature and Texas in the upcoming session.
“The right policies foster job creation and build our prosperity: low tax rates, fiscally responsible government, a good business climate, and a well-educated workforce,” said McGuinness. “As state representative, I will be asking this question of every bill we vote on “Will it help create jobs and build our prosperity?”
The campaign is available for questions from the media.
Patrick McGuinness is a longtime Austin resident, an engineer at Freescale with a doctorate in Computer Science, a husband to his wife Celeste, a father of four, and an active conservative. He can be reached at 512-377-1307 or pat@patmcguinness.org.
