UpdateSenator Inhofe says that this won’t stop his investigation into EPA enforcement practices:

“After his revelation that EPA’s ‘general philosophy’ is to ‘crucify’ oil and gas companies, it was only right for Administrator Armendariz to resign today – but his resignation in no way solves the problem of President Obama and his EPA’s crucifixion philosophy,” Senator Inhofe said.  ”In his letter to Administrator Jackson, Armendariz again pointed to his ‘poor choice of words’ as the reason for his resignation – but Armendariz was just being honest: his choice of words revealed the truth about the war that EPA has been waging on American energy producers under President Obama.

“We will continue our investigation into the situations surrounding EPA’s apparent crucifixion victims: the American people deserve to know why, in at least three separate cases, EPA tarnished the reputation of companies by accusing them of water contamination; then when the results of their study did not turn out the way they hoped, and they had no definitive evidence to make that link, they quietly walked back their accusations.  We will get to the bottom of this – and we will continue looking into EPA’s actions on hydraulic fracturing beyond these three cases as well.

“Especially as Region VI holds some of the most immense oil and gas resources in the country – including in my home state of Oklahoma – I will be watching who President Obama appoints to replace Armendariz very closely.”

MATT BEEBE HITS STRAUS ON EDUCATION IN NEW CAMPAIGN VIDEO

April 30, 2012 | Press Release

SAN ANTONIO – Today, in an email to supporters, Matt Beebe launched a new campaign video addressing Straus’ failed leadership on education. He commented on the video saying,

“As the next State Representative from District 121 I will passionately fight to protect teachers and drive dollars back to the classroom.  I’ve been saying this since the beginning of my campaign.  Now in Joe Straus’ latest mailer he lists putting “more money directly into the classroom” as one of his top priorities.  Really Joe?  It’s nice that he is finally realizing that teachers are worth protecting, but during his 7 years as our State Representative he has done nothing to address this growing problem. Joe Straus’ rhetoric doesn’t line up with his results.”

Crucifying Himself

UPDATE*** Top EPA official resigns after ‘crucify’ comment

READ THE STORY.

I’m going to keep banging this drum because I cannot tolerate the intolerable bullying of private business – particularly oil and gas – by the prosperity devouring monster that is the EPA. Armendariz’ comments made it plain what the real policy is, which is something the left must continually hide in order to get votes. I hope these effete elitist idiots never comprehend that hand held recorders, new media and the internet make what they say in any setting able to be broadcast all over the world in minutes – or two years later. Welcome to the New Age.

EPA and the White House Wash Their Hands of the ‘Crucifixion’ Mess

by Steve Maley (Diary) |April 29th at 8:00AM | RedState.com

Earlier this week, a two-year old YouTube video surfaced that floated some raw sewage in the Obama Administration’s energy punchbowl. In it, EPA Region 6 Administrator Al Almendariz, speaking to a group of Texas citizens, chuckles while comparing his agency’s environmental enforcement strategy vis-à-vis oil and gas operators to conquering Roman legionnaires’ strategy of random crucifixion. How quaint.

So the Washington politicians did what politicians have done since Roman times: go into damage-control mode and attempt to distance themselves from the offending act. From theWashington Post:

“Frankly, [the comments] were inflammatory but also wrong,” [EPA Administrator Lisa] Jackson said Friday when asked about a YouTube video discovered this week by Oklahoma Republican Sen. James M. Inhofe’s staff. “They don’t comport with either this administration’s policy on energy, our policy at EPA on environmental enforcement, nor do they comport with our record as well.”

The offending comments were uttered, not by low-level functionary deep in the bowels of EPA, but by a Presidential appointee, the Administrator of EPA Region 6. Region 6 covers “Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas and 66 Tribal Nations” and as such is home to 56% of domestic crude oil production and 59% of natural gas production. Needless to say, statements of the Region Administrator on enforcement policy carry some weight. The tough-guy policies certainly seemed consistent with the treatment of Range Resources. Range was the subject of a Region 6 “endangerment order”, an EPA accusation of groundwater contamination that was contradicted by the scientific evidence and ultimately dropped.

Plus, these weren’t the words of a leaked internal email.

He said it in public.

ATTENTION Rate Payers: Austin Energy Summer Showdown!

Suburban customers of Austin Energy (AE) are organizing, through Homeowners United for Rate Fairness (HURF) to stop the massive 23% increase in electric rates proposed by AE.   Approximately 3000 signatures from suburban customers will force the rate case to the Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUCT), where AE and the Austin City Council will have to justify their dubious business practices and enormous transfers ($150M+) of AE revenues into the city coffers each year.

HURF will be spending the next three months organizing, gathering signatures, and compiling our case for the PUCT.

The anticipated timeline is:

  • May 24:  City Council approves AE proposal to raise rates
  • June 1:  City releases “impact statements,” STARTING THE 45-DAY CLOCK for petitions
  • July 13:  HURF submits petitions to PUCT
  • September 1: AE rates approved in May take effect
  • After the PUCT approves HURF’s petition, the City of Austin will have 90 days to file a rate package with the PUCT.

HURF’s efforts have ALREADY SAVED SUBURBAN RATEPAYERS $10 MILLION DOLLARS (about $200 per average ratepayer) by deferring the proposed 23% increase from January 1 to at least September 1.

FALLOUT: “Crucify them” EPA Official Armendariz Under Pressure To Resign or Be Fired

Twenty nine of the 42 representatives in the states contained within EPA’s Region 6 — as well as Iowa Republican Rep. Steve King and Arizona Republican Rep. Trent Franks — are pushing for the removal of Al Armendariz from his post as EPA Region 6 Administrator for his “crucify them” enforcement philosophy against U.S. oil and gas companies.

Rep. Mike Conaway announced a letter Friday calling on EPA administrator Lisa Jackson to relieve Armendariz from his position.

The letter was signed by all the Republican House members from the Texas delegation as well as New Mexico Republican Rep. Steve Pearce, King, and Franks. Region 6 serves Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas and 66 Native American tribes.

“Mr. Armendariz’s conduct and statements have so contaminated the well that his continued service in this office seems likely to be met with increasing hostility and resistance from the very people he is expected to work with and for,” the letter reads.

“We are deeply disappointed in not only the statements of Mr. Armendariz, but also the abrasive, hostile posture that his office has struck during his tenure. It is our recommendation that Mr. Armendariz be relieved of his position, effective immediately.”

The Debt Generation – UPDATED

UPDATE*** From January to April 2012, Steady Deterioration

Michael Barone: Obama losing rock star status with young

Last week Barack Obama delivered speeches at universities in Chapel Hill, N.C., Iowa City, Iowa, and Boulder, Colo. The trip was, press secretary Jay Carney assured us, official government business, not political campaigning.

It’s part of a pattern. Neil Munro of the Daily Caller has counted 130 appearances by the president, vice president, their spouses, White House officials and Cabinet secretaries at colleges and universities since spring 2011.

Obviously the Obama campaign strategists are worried he cannot duplicate his 66 to 32 percent margin among young voters back in 2008.

Recent surveys of young people show inconsistent results. Gallup’s tracking poll shows Obama leading Mitt Romney 64 to 29 percent, and a Harvard Institute of Politics poll shows him leading Romney 43 to 26 percent among those who said they had an opinion.

But a March survey of 18-to-24-year-olds by the Public Religion Research Institute showed Obama ahead of “a Republican” by only 48 to 41 percent. Only 52 percent had favorable opinions of Obama, and 43 percent had unfavorable opinions.

Where the surveys seem to be in accord is that young voters are less engaged, less likely to vote and less enthusiastic about Obama than in the days when he was proclaiming, “We are the change we are seeking.”

From January 2012:

In 2008, the youth vote was overwhelmingly for Obama and helped elect him to the White House. Now, three years into his presidency and one year from the most important election of our lives, college students are thinking twice before voting for Obama again. TX Congressman Canseco Slaps TSA Agent’s Hand that Groped Crotch, Agent Cries Assault

by David Bellow | April 28, 2012hardincountyconservatives.blogspot.com

A TSA agent grabbed the genitals of Texas Republican Congressman Canseco at a San Antonio Airport. The Congressman reacted instinctively to protect his private parts and the Congressman pushed down the hand of the TSA agent. Now the TSA agent is crying and saying the Congressman assaulted him. Are you serious? Is this even America? No charges were filed but the TSA agent should be the one getting charged for assault. Touching someone’s genitals does NOTHING to keep airlines secure. There is a limit to what should be given up in order to be safe and these pat downs go too far.

These searches and even the porno body scanners do not protect us anymore than regular metal detectors. These measures only help keep nuisance items off of airlines and it comes at much to high a price. These scanners have had guns go through them undetected for crying out loud. Random pat searches are not even effective. Why did the TSA grab the crotch of this war veteran with shrapnel in his leg? This man fought for your rights and you want to touch his junk in return? And what is the purpose of tormenting this little 4 year old girl and touching her private parts? None of this will stop a terrorist. If someone wants to blow up a plane they are going to do it no matter how many genitals the TSA agents grab. The terrorist will just find a way around it. The terrorist will likely start using TSA agents as part of their plans. Just this week, TSA agents in Los Angeles were charged with engaging in drug trafficking by allowing drugs to pass through the security checkpoints. Every week it seems like a different TSA agent is getting charged with something. You don’t think a terrorist will eventually find a TSA agent who will go along with the sinister plot for the right price? It is only a matter of time.

We need a House and Senate with the backbone to end these pointless attacks on our dignity. Texas tried to stand up against this once. State Representative David Simpson introduced a bill to make touching someone’s crotch a crime. That bill was killed after our Democrat Supporting Texas Speaker of the House Joe Straus killed the bill and said it was a publicity stunt.

Not everyone can afford riding in a private Jet like you Joe Straus. It is time to stop being scared and time to stop playing politics. We need representatives who will be bold and stand against this unconstitutional intrusion.

Krauthammer: On dirty campaign ads

I am not a Krauthammer fan but I agree with his view and thoroughly enjoy his manner of expressing it in this interview with Daily Caller’s Tucker Carlson. As to why Congress has a 9% approval (that’s 91% disapproval) rating, he offered:

“It’s not just because they’re lying, thieving hypocrites. That’s not enough of an explanation.” Do tell, Charles.

Builders and Destroyers

Here is a thoughtful excerpt from Sultan Knish’s

Friday Afternoon Roundup – Builders and Destroyers

by Daniel Greenfield | April 27, 2012 | SultanKnish.blogspot.com

We are more than who we are at any given moment. We are also who we aspire to be.

Both Zimmerman and Martin were flawed men, but Zimmerman’s writings and behavior showed a man who aspired to be something better, while Martin’s showed that he wanted only to sink down. Martin can’t be entirely blamed for that, he did not create and perpetuate the fake gansta culture. It’s the mostly white entertainment industry that did that, often embedded in the same news corporations which organized the lynching of George Zimmerman.

The entertainment industry did not tell Martin what would happen if he assaulted an adult man who was concerned about the neighborhood, while Martin was concerned about getting the “Respect” that gangsta culture told him he was entitled to by virtue of his posing.

Martin did not understand that life was different than gangsta culture. That men who have guns don’t necessarily go waving them around. And that sometimes when you have someone down on the ground and you’re beating on them, they will use what they have.

Had Martin killed Zimmerman, he would be preening for the cameras now, the defiant upward head tilt you see so often in court photos. The pose that says, “I don’t care, because I’m too cool to care.” It’s the pose that the man who might have been Martin’s father often wears to tell us that he’s going to go on doing whatever he likes, because he can.

But that’s not what you see in Zimmerman’s face, it’s not just regret, it’s pain. Zimmerman did not intend to take another human life, and he regrets that and regrets how society sees him, and he is coming to terms with doing what he had to do. There is a basic decency in his expression which cannot be photoshopped onto Martin’s face. The photoshopping can pale his skin, younger photos can make him look innocent, but nothing can make him look decent.

Zimmerman quoted Burke. Martin quoted hip hop. That was the fundamental difference between the two men, not race, but culture. Zimmerman aspired to be a good human being. Martin aspired to be street trash.

In a society under siege, there are builders and there are destroyers. Zimmerman was a builder, we will never know what Martin might have become, but he was on a path to becoming a destroyer.

We live in a culture that punishes builders and rewards destroyers. That treats the destroyer as innocent and moral, because he is untainted by knowledge and experience, because he resists the builders and spreads anarchy and chaos.

The gap between Martin and Zimmerman is the gap between the graffiti scrawler and the business owner, the occupy wall street thug and the office worker, the rap star and the composer, the activist and the entrepreneur.

Martin was just another pawn in a culture war waged by the destroyers against civilization. As a a man he gorged himself on destroyer culture, imitated it and then fatally lived it out. As a dead man, he became a rallying cry for the destroyers.

There have been multiple black on white hate crimes in his name. There is a trial in his name. And there is an election campaign in his name.

Destroyers are obsessed with martyrs. They need these tokens to see them along to the next fight, the Horst Wessels, the Pavlik Morozovs, the Hussein ibn Alis and the Trayvon Martins. Idealized figures to justify the destruction and repression that they visit on others. Rituals, show trials, songs, marches whip them up into a frenzy of destruction.

The Destroyers are always out for respect, but when they say ‘respect’ they really mean power, they really mean the right to destroy because they are somehow superior. They aren’t. Decency is worth respecting, power isn’t. And those who try to get power by enforcing a mandate to respect them sometimes learn that power works both ways.

There is more.

Forget the Empty Rhetoric – Like Attracts Like

via James Bernsen| April 28, 2012 | Team Cruz

Fact #3: David Dewhurst was praised by the ultra-liberal Texas Freedom Network for governing as a moderate.

Background:

David Dewhurst claims to be “unapologetically conservative” and covers his campaign materials with “proven conservative,” but his record as Lt. Governor won him the praise of Democrats and the ultra-liberal organization, Texas Freedom Network.

[Donna Garner: WHO AND WHAT TFN REALLY IS

Please take a look at the organizations that support Texas Freedom Network, and this should tell you everything you need to know about their true intent:

Planned Parenthood; the Human Rights Campaign (largest homosexual organization in the U. S.); the ACLU Texas; Alliance for Clean Texas; People for the American Way; Center for Public Policy Priorities; Equality Texas; NARAL Pro-Choice; Sierra Club; Freedom From Religion Foundation; Stand Down Texas; Texas Association of Planned Parenthood Affiliates (TAPPA); Texas Impact; The Texas Observer; MECha (who wants to eliminate the border with Mexico entirely and honor Mexican revolutionary war hero Ernesto Zapata and Cuban revolutionary Che Guevara); the Center for Inquiry (CFI) who fought to make the Pledge of Allegiance unconstitutional.

Do we want Texas Freedom Network to influence Texas’ education standards, textbooks, and curriculum?]

1) Texas Freedom Network is anti-religious liberty, anti-voucher, and pro-gay marriage. They are one of the leading liberal special interest groups in Austin – and they praised Dewhurst.

Samantha Smoot, Executive Director of the Texas Freedom Network, admitted that she and fellow liberals were worried about Dewhurst’s politics because he campaigned for Lt. Governor as a “conservative.” But Smoot soon realized Dewhurst’s campaign rhetoric was just that, empty rhetoric.

“He’s made it clear so far this session that he intends to govern from the center, which is great news,” Smoot said. “He has distinguished himself from the governor when it comes to the budget, and most observers at the Capitol have gotten many signs that the Senate is going to pursue a much more thoughtful moderate course than the House.” (“Capitol Insiders” Associated Press, 5/9/03)

2) And it wasn’t just the liberal Texas Freedom Network that was surprised to learn that the Austin Dewhurst resembled nothing of the “conservative” campaign trail Dewhurst. Democrat legislators agreed: Dewhurst is a moderate.

In 2003, Democrats “heaped praise” on Dewhurst; the Senate’s top Democrat lauded Dewhurst’s “consensus-building.”

“Likewise, Sen. Judith Zaffirini, D-Laredo, praised Dewhurst for taking an independent look at overhauling school finance and trying to find a way to unearth more social service dollars.” (Ft. Worth Star-Telegram, 4/27/03)

In his first session as Lt. Governor, Dewhurst was considered moderate and was praised by Democrats.

“When Dewhurst was first elected lieutenant governor in 2002, he was viewed as a conservative, but more moderate in his approach than then-House Speaker Tom Craddick, a Republican from Midland who was often at odds with his Senate counterpart. Even Senate Democrats praised Dewhurst in his first session.” (Terrence Stutz, “Dewhurst Seeks 3rd Term With Eye On D.C.,” Dallas Morning News, 10/16/10)

“One-on-one, he still has a reputation as a reasonable moderate.” (Saul Elbein, “The Extra-Lite Gov,” The Texas Observer, 10/29/10)

3) Those who know him best, say Dewhurst is out of touch with Republican voters.

Dewhurst’s own friends and associates say he is “more moderate philosophically” than most Republican voters and activists.

“According to friends and associates, he also is more moderate philosophically than many of the conservative voters and activists in his party.” (Clay Robison, “Moderate In Conservative Clothing,” Houston Chronicle, 1/29/07)

Bottom Line:

David Dewhurst claims to be conservative, but time and time again, he has shown that he’s more interested in compromising and cutting deals. Any politician can say the right things during an election, but how can David Dewhurst really be trusted?

With almost $16 trillion in debt and reckless government spending, the stakes are too high to send another establishment, deal-making politician to Washington.

Ted Cruz is a proven conservative–endorsed by Tea Party Express, Sen. Rand Paul and many others–and will lead the fight to cut out-of-control Washington spending.

Fame Means Never Having To Say You’re Sorry

But culture is the air we breathe.  The pollution that poisons it day by day is cumulative in its effects.

by  | February 9, 2012 | FrontpageMag.com

At the Super Bowl, gargoyle Madonna performed alongside British “singer” M.I.A.  To most everyone’s surprise, the show was relatively tame, with the stiff-looking 53-year-old prancing around with her oddly-clad team of backup singers, including a weird guy doing tricks on a wire (not Guy Richie).  The most amusing part of the performance was Madonna disappearing into the stage, Wicked Witch of the West-style; as Jim Geraghty of National Review hilariously tweeted, “Wow, Bane got her in the end.” (For those of you who aren’t Batman aficionados, Bane is a Batman villain featured in the upcoming Christopher Nolan flick The Dark Knight Returns, who collapses a football field.)  Personally, I thought it was just the earth finally swallowing up the scarlet woman for her prior blasphemies.

There was a bit of controversy, though: at the end of her cameo, M.I.A. flipped off the crowd.  What was the point of that little gesture?  M.I.A. is nowhere to be found for comment, but the rationale is pretty clear: nobody would have cared about M.I.A.’s appearance had she not decided to tell Americans to screw off.  It was an attention getter.  And it got attention.  Mission accomplished.

This is how we do celebrity in America.  Bad behavior gets you noticed; as you age, you go mainstream.  M.I.A. is simply a less talented Madonna (if there is such a thing), 20 years younger.  Undoubtedly, M.I.A. will eventually mainstream herself, and we will pretend she was never a problem.

She can follow Madonna’s path in doing so.  When the Material Girl first popped on the scene with “Like a Virgin,” she shook up the world with her ability to shock.  When she released “Like a Prayer” in 1989, people understood that her lyric – “When you call my name, It’s like a little prayer, I’m down on my knees, I wanna take you there” – was a veiled reference to fellatio, and that the song was supposed to transgress boundaries between the holy and the sexual.  The Vatican actually condemned the music video.  On Sunday, Madonna sang the song before an entire country, complete with backup choir, as though it were a plain spiritual.

America’s forgiving nature is wonderful.  But that forgiving nature means that we’re often taken advantage of by celebrities, who act out in an obnoxious way and then demand our forgiveness over time.  In fact, America is so forgiving that we don’t even bother asking our celebrities to apologize for past transgressions – we just assume they’ve matured.

Hot on the Campaign Trail with Dr. Donna Campbell

by Donna Campbell | April 28, 2012 | donnacampbell.com

We are just weeks away from Election Day and there is so much news to talk about. In fact, I made a video right after one of my recent debates to catch you up.

A couple of weeks ago I met with the Editorial Board of the San Antonio Express News and while I’m not holding my breath for their endorsement (they endorsed Barack Obama in ’08 after all), I believe I made a strong case for my candidacy. You can read what I said and see video of my performance by visiting my new blog.

We really can’t afford four more years of the status quo. Entrenched politicians Jeff Wentworth (24 years) and Elizabeth Ames Jones (13 years) are running to advance their political careers. They are not in tune with the interests of Texas families or small businesses.

I’ve spent a lifetime helping others through medicine and ministry. I’m citizen trained. I’m private sector trained. I’m health care trained. And I’m running to be your voice in the Texas Senate.

As the final stretch approaches, we are buying ads and putting up billboards in San Antonio. All of this costs a substantial sum of money, and while our opponents have lobbyists to fund such expenses, we rely on grassroots support. We couldn’t do any of it without your generous donations. Would you please consider making a small contribution to help us purchase more advertising?

Today marks the 25th of the month, when we ask those who have been such a big part of our effort to contribute $25 to help take back District 25 for the people of Texas. As few as 100 supporters donating $25 pays for an entire 14 ft. by 48 ft. billboard for the month or up to 30 TV commercials. Donate now and give us a boost towards victory!

Thanks again for standing with me and standing up to special interests who think they can buy this election. They can’t. Texans like YOU won’t let them!

The Hatred of Derrick Bell’s “Afrolantica Legacies”

by Roger L. Simon | April 28, 2012 | PJMedia.com & PJTV.com

This month, PJ Media associate editor David Swindle spent three weeks blogging at the PJ Tatler about a disturbing book by one of Barack Obama’s intellectual mentors. In Professor Derrick Bell’s “Afrolantica Legacies,” the founder of Critical Race Theory weaves together a mystical, science fiction fantasy with radical utopian politics. We’ve put these blog posts together into one guide that reveals the shocking and strange ideas of one of the progressive movement’s most influential legal thinkers — a man who imagined himself as a prophet spreading secret teachings delivered to him by an alien goddess.

Click here to access the guide to Derrick Bell’s “Afrolantica Legacies” now.

David was inspired to write about “Afrolantica Legacies” when the great team at Breitbart.com unleashed a video of 28-year-old Barack Obama praising Derrick Bell and urging others to “open your hearts and open your minds” to his words:

I wanted to dig deeper into just what that would entail. The Breitbart guys, who have Harvard Law backgrounds, approached the legal side of Bell. My background is in religion, political theory and culture so I explored the other side. And what I found was disgusting. Bell’s writing on Jews, women and Civil Rights heroes like Thurgood Marshall is shocking. In Bell’s world, “blackness” isn’t a skin color; it’s a religion. And “Afrolantica Legacies” is his Bible.

Bell’s Critical Race Theory is the key influence in the Obama Justice Department. And during the time period in which David was blogging through “Afrolantica Legacies,” several news events illustrated the themes of the book, including the Trayvon Martin shooting and the media witch hunt for George Zimmerman — instigated by the president’s political allies — that followed:

One of the things that struck me about coverage of Trayvon Martin on MSNBC was the way he had become a kind of religious martyr. People were going to church and praying while wearing hoodies. This mirrors the way Bell blends political activism with religious devotion in his book and also fits with his pattern of glorifying victimhood and martyrdom.

Derrick Bell may be gone but his ideas are very much alive. I encourage you to read PJ Media associate editor David Swindle’s guide to “Afrolantica Legacies,” and please share it with your friends:

There’s a Crack in Our Foundation

by Glenn Addison | April 27, 2012 | Opinion

Our founding fathers designed the U. S. Constitution to be the very foundation of our republic.  Having recently thrown off the heavy boot of the British Empire, they, by design, instituted a very limited federal government.  Article I, Section 8 of the Constitution, which lists the duties, responsibilities and therefore, I believe, the limitations of the federal government takes up only two very small pages.  You do not find such words as education, environment, energy, housing, urban development, labor, job, occupation, endangered species, etc. in this list.  I submit to you that that was by design.  The states created the federal government, not the other way around, and they did not want people and entities who were inaccessible to “We, the People” controlling their lives.

Fast forward to today.  The federal government is growing exponentially: multiplying unconstitutional agencies and departments are issuing edicts on a daily basis that are taking more and more rights and liberties away from “We, the People”.  Late last year, our government (including many Republicans) passed the NDAA which allows the president to seize and detain an American citizen, indefinitely, if they are deemed “a threat”.

On March 16, an executive order was put in place allowing the President of the United States to take charge of ALL resources/manufacturing in the U.S. even in peacetime.  This is just an example of the unprecedented changes that are taking place on a regular basis in our halls of government.

As you and I, the common people, go about our daily business our liberties are being usurped.  Ladies and Gentlemen…I submit to you that we have a crack in our foundation…and we had better take steps, right away, to not just preserve and defend our Constitution…but to restore it.

For the past sixteen months, I have been traveling around this great state.  During the drought this past summer, one of the effects that I observed was the integrity of structures being compromised by fissures in the soil causing cracks in their foundations.  Wise owners took immediate steps to repair the threat to their property.  We can do no less for our country.

In my bid for U.S. Senate, I am advocating a great “restoration movement” of the U.S. Constitution.  It is imperative that we “get back to the book” as I call the Constitution.  I believe that we need to restore the Constitution by eliminating unconstitutional federal agencies and departments (i.e. the EPA) and returning powers to the states.  My better known opponents want to “reform” said agencies.

I believe we need to restore U. S. sovereignty which has been watered down by the “entangling alliances” that our founding fathers warned us about, many of which are rooted in the United Nations.

My solution is simple:   “The U.N. needs to get out of the U.S., and the U.S. needs to get out of the U.N.”  Again, my opponents want to “reform” this beast.  I also want to restore the idea of a “citizen legislator”. I have pledged, in the spirit of the founding fathers, to serve one six-year term and come back to my day job.  I will not sign up for the lavish pension or healthcare that the Senate has provided for themselves.  I go to serve “We, the People”, not to feed at the taxpayer trough.  I urge you to visit www.glennaddison.com and join me in this fight to preserve the structural integrity of our nation by restoring its foundation: the U.S. Constitution.

It begins. Bankrupt American Green Technology ON SALE to Former Enemies

Russians buy bankrupt green battery company, touted by Obama-Biden as “the future.”

From Investors.com:

Ener1 had joined Solyndra, Beacon Power, Evergreen Solar, SpectraWatt and AES — all recipients of taxpayer dollars — in bankruptcy.

The company had tapped the country’s top scientists at Argonne National Lab in Illinois, and U.S. taxpayers pledged up to $118 million in stimulus funds from an administration that has grabbed taxpayers by the throat as well as $80 million in state and local incentives to help Ener1 produce cutting-edge battery technology for electric cars and the U.S. military.

Now that technology is owned by a Russian tycoon.

Cavuto covers the story on FoxNews.

Why do Obama’s green Utopian dreams so often end up costing taxpayers billions of dollars? I wonder how much of that lost $200 million found its way into campaign donations to Obama 2012. Obama’s radical leftist ideology is bankrupting the nation. Can we afford four more years of this insanity?
